Storytimes and Events

The San Rafael Public Library is pleased to present a variety of storytimes and events for children at each developmental level. We encourage you to follow the recommended age guidelines for each program, and to familiarize yourself with our Storytime Etiquette Guidelines. Mother Goose on the Loose: a Baby Storytime

Tuesdays October 4, 11, 18 & 25 at 10:30-11am

Mother Goose on the Loose is a fun-filled, thirty minute interactive session that uses rhymes, songs, puppets, musical instruments, and more to stimulate the learning process of babies and toddlers. Perfect for babies birth to 18 months.

Friday October 7 at 10:30-11am

Join us for a delightful selection of books, motion songs, toys, finger plays, lullabies and rhymes just right for babies from birth to 18 months old.

An action-packed storytime with stories, songs, fingerplays, puppets, flannelboard stories and Mother Goose. Perfect for children from birth to 3 years old.

Afternoon Storytime

Tuesdays October 11, 18 and 25 at 3:30pm

Longer picture books, flannel board stories, fingerplays, & puppets are presented. Parents or caregivers can attend or stay nearby in the Children's Room. For children ages 3 to 6 years old.

R.E.A.D. to a Dog

Sunday afternoons, October 9, November 13, and December 4 at 2-4pm

Come read to Bumps, a Reading Education Assistance Dog! Make your reservation at the Children's Desk or by calling us at (415) 485-3322. This program is for school-aged children.
